This was inspired off of a very odd / strange creature I saw on the game Altered Beast (The "Cave Needle"). It was a yellow subterranean wasp. Many people take it's biology as though perverse, but I see a hint of sci-fi excellence to it. This, however, is an ant, and quite different, though following the same idea.
